RECITAL GUIDELINES
No photography of any kind is permitted. This includes cellular devices or Ipads/ tablets.
No one is permitted in the house during warmups. Guests and parents must wait until the house opens.
Do not bring visitors, adults or children, backstage for any reason. They will be asked to return to their seats. This does not apply to parents assisting their children in costume changes in dressing rooms.
Do not bring food or drink backstage. No outside food or beverages are allowed in the facility.
Be quiet backstage.
No one is allowed to come up to the stage for any reason during the performance. This includes photography or giving your child "presents" on the stage.
Do not speak to Miss Jaune or the stage crew during the show.
Do not watch the show from the wings. You will be told to leave.
When students sit in the audience during the show, they must wear a robe or a cover-up.
All lowerschool students should be brought backstage 5 numbers before your dance. You may meet your child after the performance in the "holding room”. We will let you know what side of the stage you will meet them on.
Jewelry, nail polish or underwear are not to be worn onstage.
Every headpiece requires at least 10 bobby pins to ensure that it will not fall off.
Because we present a professional performance, we ask that everyone remain seated during the entire show. If you do leave the auditorium during the show you will be allowed back into the auditorium only between dances. This rule is strictly enforced; please do not create a disturbance with the auditorium ushers in regards to this policy.
Enthusiastic applause is encouraged; however, it is never appropriate to scream out a child’s name.
Children should not bring handheld electronic games or other devices with sounds and/or lights that could be a distraction for other audience members.
Do not use the stairs on the front of the stage to get backstage during the recital.
Do not sit in the wings or on the deck and “stretch”.
It is important that you pass these policies on to your recital guests.
Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES may any parent/ guardian / guest reserve seats for the
recital using coats, purses or imitation/ counterfeit labels during the tech rehearsal or
before the house opens for the performance.
All items in the house will be removed by the house staff before the doors open.
Our reserved seating fundraiser defrays the cost of the recital for all families. It keeps
our recital fees low and each family is a direct beneficiary of this program.
Inability to comply, tampering with or blatant disregard for MDTNO, LLC’S
policies may result in termination from the recital and from the school.
CREDENTIALS ARE NOW REQUIRED TO ENTER THE HOUSE
DURING THE TECH REHEARSAL.
NO ONE IS ALLOWED IN THE HOUSE DURING THE TECH
WITHOUT CREDENTIALS.
YOU WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE HOUSE BY THE THEATRE STAFF.
Backstage
Family members and friends DO NOT belong backstage or in the dressing rooms during rehearsals or the recital. The same applies during intermission and after the show. The dressing rooms are a private area. Please remind your guests and family to be respectful of these areas. Those who wish to greet a performer after the show should do so in the lobby areas.
Dressing Rooms
Dressing rooms will be assigned to you and are enclosed in your recital packet. Your name will be posted on the dressing room doors at the theatre. No eating, drinking or smoking is allowed in the theatre or the dressing rooms. Please respect others' space and property in the dressing rooms and coach your children to do likewise. No men are allowed in the girls/ women's dressing areas. No women are allowed in the boys/men's dressing areas. NO EXCEPTIONS! DO NOT BRING ANY HEAT STYLING HAIR TOOLS TO THE THEATRE.

G is Ground Floor, M1 is 2nd Floor Dressing Room (Mezzaine 1) and M2 is Rehearsal Hall Dressing Room
Dismissal after Finale (Only in the Evening Show)
After the finale, the grand drape curtain will close. Please send only one adult guardian/ parent to retrieve their dancer(s).
Please avoid using the back doors in the audience, when you open the doors daylight will fill the auditorium and affect the lighting designs.
The backstage area is very busy. Parents and guests are not allowed to be backstage or to watch the show from backstage. You will be asked to leave the area. IF A SIGN ON A DOOR SAYS , DO NOT OPEN, THEN DO NOT OPEN IT!
Be respective of one another in the dressing rooms. Dressing rooms are used for costume changes. they are not meant for social gatherings. Please make costume changes and return to the audience to enjoy the show. This will make costume changes more efficient.
Parents must supervise their children in the dressing room areas.
Make up lights are hot. Keep them turned off. Remember lights are hot even if they are turned off.
Leave curling irons home.
No one is allowed in the house during warm ups before the show.
Tuition
Tuition is divided into 10 monthly payments - September - June. We will run the June installment in May.
